Can you remember the way life used to be before you owned a cell phone? I can, life was much more difficult. Conversely, life was simpler when I wasn’t just a phone call away. Most days I feel a little uneasy when my phone isn’t within arm’s reach for longer than five minutes. I have become so dependent on my phone not just for work but for everything from my alarm clock to my calendar to looking to my phone for a suggestion on what I should have for lunch. Not only has my cell phone changed my life but the lives of mostly everyone who has come in contact with a cell phone.

An area that has been impacted significantly is the small business world. Whether your business was service oriented or relied on the distribution of products, cell phones have made these businesses more efficient. Long gone are the days when you had to have a fully staffed office and secretary to answer your calls when you’re out of the office. Nowadays, in a lot of cases ,if you have a pocket that you can put your cell phone in you’ve got an office.
